--- Win, lose or ... draw? ---
In the last 6 months, I have played more poker hands than my CIBC checking account says is necessary. ... And in this grandiose time that I've lost all this money (money that would've otherwise gone towards drugs and alcohol...), I've learned two things about myself:
1. I am a very honourable, graceful and humble winner. ...
2. I am the most poor sport, break out a can of "John McEnroe 1976", sore loser ...
Oh well, at least I don't have an in-grown toenail or back-hair or a heroin addiction or a yeast infection or something ...

I promise they're coming soon. ... By popular request (but really more like an implied request through a comment that Cris made), I'm going to put up a second album from my Chicago trip. ....
I also went to Montreal .... where I took no pictures ... So no album for you.... At least no album of pictures from Montreal, that is. ...

--- straight arm running ---
There is almost nothing in this world funnier than watching someone run with their hands in their pockets.

--- This post is dedicated to AL---
But this post actually has nothing to do with Al. Instead, I will rant about ... something else. I'm going to talk about oldies music. ...
Back in the day, the Beatles and Simon and Garfunkel were two of the bigger bands of the 60s and 70s. … Their music was highly influential in the hippie era. … Not only was the music popular, but it was also wildly experimental, spoke to a generation of peace lovers and gave a message of drugs and promiscuous sex … It was true renegade music. …
And today it’s being played on the soft rock oldie stations that our parents listen to. … Rightly so, because compared to today’s music, it does seem softer, on the surface.
That made me think about what our generation will be like when we’re all 50. … Will I be driving my grand kids to soccer practice in my mini van (that flies?) and listening to Nirvana and 50 cent on my favorite oldies radio station? …
I dunno what’s weirder … the scenario I just described, or the fact that some of my friends’ 50 year old Korean parents blast N’sync and Britney Spears in THEIR mini vans when they drive to work …
...
Oh yeah ... And I added comments! ... woo hoo me ... I mean woo hoo haloscan ... I mean woo hoo Al for telling me about haloscan. I guess this post is dedicated to you after all. ...
--- Updates ---
With the aforementioned new comments section, I decided to go all out and put up some pictures from my Chicago trip. There isn't much, but enjoy. Check the pictures section.
