Hold me, thrill me, kiss me, kill me... then kiss me again... Mar. 29, 2006 - Wednesday --- for never and ever... amen --- Ha. ... It's not a Monday. This is the first non-Monday post in quite some time now... It feels ... ... ... no different. So I went to see Sigur Ros in concert tonight. ... They were nothing short of amazing ... again. ... The venue itself wasn't that great, though... Too big, too crowded and there were trees (tall people) standing in front of us for basically the whole night. ... But the interesting part of the venue was the floor... Spread out along the floor were these hand-rail things, like on a flight of stairs... You could lean forward or back on them while you watched the concert. ... I was leaning forward on one and... it felt a lot like standing in a pew at church for worship or the singing of hymns... Especially since Sigur Ros' music is always very emotional and enlightening. ... Quite the spiritual experience. ... Somehow, I can't remember the last time I felt like that at church. ... I miss it. Mar. 20, 2006 - Monday --- I love the interweb ... I want to down-boot it ALL onto my femputer --- Y'know I think I see a pattern here. ... I seem to be updating my blog only on Mondays. ... 4 of the last 5 blogs (or 80%) have been posted on Mondays. ... And the only blog entry that wasn't on a Monday... was on a Tuesday. ... Which is only 1 day away from Monday!!! ... Weird. ... You might say it's like Freaky Friday. ... Except that it's Monday. So yeah... My new BFF ("Best Friend Forever", for all you acronym-challenged people) suggested "Clone High". ... This has got to be the funniest cartoon show I've seen in a really long time... and not just cause I'm stoned. ... Because I AM! ... ... Wait wait that didn't make any sense. ... In any case, if you know how to use Bit Torrent (you don't), then go to torrentspy (you won't) and download the entire first season of Clone High to laugh at all the jokes. Mar. 06, 2006 - Monday --- Monday night ... cleaning up --- A new month starts and another blows by. ... I can't believe it's March already. ... Time doesn't fly, it teleports. ... Especially during my 7 months here in London so far. ... I need time to slow down or my contract to go longer. ... So I cleaned the apartment today and realized that the curtains in my room are about to break. ... Not 3 nano-seconds after I had that thought, the curtains broke. ... I sorta laugh-sighed to myself (you know, when you go "ha ha ... hu ... uhhhh") and then tossed the curtains to the ground. ... And then I decided to move rooms. Yes. From now on I'm going to sleep in the computer room with the smaller bed and working curtains. ... In fact, the smaller bed is more comfortable, so I should've made this move a long time ago. ... Wow this post is boring... ... So hey, Crash won at the Oscars! ... It actually won. ... Best Picture. ... And I used to think the Oscars were dumb for being stuck up and snooty against the young crowd, the hip hop crowd, the movies that garnered fans in their 20s etc... ... Or maybe the Academy is just really really homophobic this year. ... In any case, I'm glad the underdog won. ... Cause it was actually the only film of all the Best Picture nominees that I saw last year. ... That being said, it was quite a good film and I thought it'd be one of those films that garnered Oscar attention, but wouldn't win because of the hip hop slant, the huge cast with an average age of 26 ... and the fact that the movie has lots of black people in it. :P ... I have a feeling Ludacris is going to write a new song about how he was part of the movie that won the Best Picture Oscar in "2-oh-oh-6 ... ... A-TOWN!!!" ... On the topic of actors ... Here's one of my favorite actresses going balls-out on SNL... I think I coughed up my left lung laughing at the first 20 seconds of this.
